Individual Volunteers

Use your skills for good, at Good Food Matters.

If you’re a chef, nutritionist, community organiser, gardener or just a passionate foodie, you’re welcome at Good Food Matters. There are so many ways to get involved, make an impact and use your skills for the community good.

There is no minimum time commitment – you can volunteer around your schedule. We have green-fingered enthusiasts who spend a few days at the start and end of the key growing seasons and regulars who like to spend a few hours every Friday in the polytunnel or tending crops.

Our kitchen team is also busy throughout the year and always needs extra pairs of hands – from experts able to design and run regular cooking classes to super-stars willing to help out with the management and upkeep of our facilities.

And we have lots of opportunities to use skills outside the kitchen and garden too. We’re keen to hear from fantastic volunteers who can help with accounting, legal advice, photography, social media and more.
